Church Beliefs

1. The Bible
We believe that the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments are the divinely inspired, inerrant Word of God and the unchanging standard of faith and life. All teaching in the church must be based on the Bible and discerned by the words of Scripture.

2. The Triune God
We believe that there is one God, having three persons of Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit, who are distinct but united in being and essence.

3. Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the only Savior. Jesus Christ is the eternal God, and was also a perfect man when He came to earth. He died on the cross, bearing all the sins of mankind in our place. He was buried, resurrected on the third day, ascended to heaven, sat at the right hand of God the Father, and sent the Holy Spirit to earth. He will someday return to earth.

4. Salvation by Faith
We believe that we are saved not by works, but by faith in Jesus Christ. Ever since the first man, Adam, sin entered the human race so that all people are born with a sinful nature. However, through faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior, we can be saved from sin and death, deemed righteous, reborn, given eternal life, and enter the Kingdom of God in heaven. This is a salvation of the whole person in spirit, soul (mind), and body, and includes healing from illnesses and deliverance from the curse of sin in the name of Jesus Christ. This salvation, healing, and deliverance are all given by God's grace.

5. Baptism of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is a spiritual experience apart from salvation, in which our person is filled with the Holy Spirit and empowered for evangelistic work.

6. Church
We believe that the church is the faith community of believers gathered together by God whose Lord is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ gives five offices (ministries) and gifts to build up his church: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. All believers throughout all the ages belong to the one church in heaven, and this heavenly church is manifested on earth primarily in local (individual) churches.

7. Second Coming
We believe that at the end of the world, Jesus Christ will return to earth with power and authority (the Second Coming) with His bride, the overcomers. At that time, all believers will be gathered to Jesus Christ, and the Millennial Kingdom will begin. Sin and death will be abolished, all things will be renewed, and the new heavenly kingdom will be ushered in. Those who have believed in Jesus Christ and been saved will live forever with God. The time of the Second Coming is drawing near.
